How Does Solar Help the Environment?

At Solar Masters, we are incredibly proud of our work installing solar panels and systems on residential and commercial properties. Naturally, we're helping to change the world and free it from this vicious cycle of depleting non-renewable energies and poisoning the planet.

One of the most basic ways to explain why solar is good for the environment is to look at where the energy comes from, and what the energy cost is, compared to traditional fuel sources like oil and gas.

We know that the energy cost of taking oil and gas out of the ground and burning it is the terrible carbon pollution price that we pay. With scientists clamoring for quick and effective mitigation to stave off dangerous global warming, we are under the gun to find solutions.

Solar energy provides that solution. Solar energy uses the natural power of the sun to provide us with our daily energy needs. It's a powerful way to move forward in protecting the earth's biological integrity – but it's been facing a lot of pushback, for one reason or another. A lot of it has to do with powerful corporate interests and "how things have always been done." But that's quickly changing as new science continues to present us with clear truths showing that solar energy is the way of the future.

One-Time Costs

Critics of solar energy like to talk about the cost of producing solar panels and systems. But there is a fundamental distinction here that shows why solar is so much more effective in conserving both money and environmental health!

Primarily, a solar project generates a one-time cost, in terms of both carbon output and energy and monetary value. Then, when the system is in place, it can produce free and renewable energy for years. So what makes more sense for a property owner? It's becoming clearer and more evident all the time that the one-time cost will save a tremendous amount of money and help to avoid a mountain of carbon pollution over time.

That's leading many forward-thinking households and small business owners (not to mention big companies like Amazon and Google) to invest in solar. You'll soon see solar arrays everywhere, on roof areas, in parking lots, and filling vast fields. Solar is the way that we will save the planet! Ask us any questions that you have about how easy it can be to get solar on your property, to save on your energy bills, and do your part for the environment, too.
